Essay on The Nepali Common Folk

Common Nepali people are humble. They are the pride of the nation. They know her truly. They are used to sharing the spirit of unity in diversity. They are rich in the spirit and practice of humanity, so-operation and tolerance. They are fond of observing peace, justice and prosperity.

Common Nepali people are used to practicing unity and diversity as they are bound with the sacred spirit of fraternity although they belong to distinct social recognitions because Nepal is multi-lingual, multi-racial and multi-religious country.

Our societies consist of people speaking different language as their mother tongues. Some of them are Nepali, Rai, Limbu, Neware, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Sherpa, Gurung, Magar, Tamang etc. but these have enriched the tongues have not hindered the societies adversely. They have enriched the linguistic recognition of our societies. The people speaking one language are fond of respecting other languages and the people speaking them as well. We have seen that most of the Nepalese societies are bilingual where two languages are spoken as their mother tongues. The people speaking one language seem to be eager to learn the next in these societies.

Nepalese societies consist of different social groups of races such as Gurung, Magar, Rai, Sherpa, Newar, Tharu, Dhimal, Chhetri, Bramana and so on. The people belonging to different groups live together unitedly sharing their experiences, feelings, sorrows and happiness. Although they have their own social rituals and cultures, they respect others. We have seen that these people are completely humble and well-cultured.

Nepalese people follow different religions. Some of them are Hindus, Buddhists, Islam’s, Christians, etc. We have not seen any social conflicts between the people following different religions because they have already developed the spirit and practice of religious tolerance; they respect all the religions equally. The people following one religion in their societies are found in the holy places of the other religions as the devotees. They have already learnt that almighty is for all.

Common Nepali people are honest, dutiful, hard-working, humble, co-operative and kind-hearted. They do not want to take the advantage of weaknesses of others. They always complete their duties working hard. Hey always behave with other people  politely. They re ready to help the needy people in the society. They never involve in the criminal activities. Although they do not have skyscrapers, their spirit and humanity have tied up themselves together.

It is real that humble Nepali people are the pride of the nation; they know her truly. They are ready to sacrifice themselves to save the nation they are completely united by the spirit and practice of patriotism and fraternity.

Essay on The Condition of Childless Women in Our Society

Married women are expected to be mothers. They are also naturally eager to give birth to their children. If they are unable to bar children, they are mistreated in traditional societies where people believe that only women have to be responsible to bear the children. In our society, the condition of childless women is not so miserable as in the traditional societies.

Public awareness functions as one of the responsible factors to enhance the societies making them well-cultured, civilized and prosperous. If people fall victims of superstitions, childless women are badly treated because of the attitudes and concepts of the people. In our society, most of the people are well-educated. Therefore, they have know the causes of being childless. If married women cannot give birth to their children, they are not blamed for it, rather they are taken to the doctors. Their family members follow the doctor’s suggestions. But some people are completely conservative, they only blame the women for being childless. For instance, if a married woman cannot give birth to the children, her husband wants to marry a next woman; had does to think of the other causes that do not belong to the physical and biological conditions of his wife. In our society, the childless women of some families are mistreated and tortured if the y are not practically well-educated. They think that married women have to perpetuate their husbands through name and prosperity by giving birth to their children.

In our society, the conditions of childless women have been improving gradually despite some misbehaviors toward them prevailing for ages; they cannot be uprooted overnight. For instance, Uneducated husbands of the childless women get married to other women. They stat hating the first wives. These childless women are tortured by their mother-in-laws. Some of them are compelled to go to their parents; they many not be well-treated  there, too. Then, their husbands want to desert them through the legal divorce. By the result, the condition of these women becomes more miserable.

If childless women are mistreated and tortured, they cannot tolerate hostile behavior towards them. They will be fed up with life because of extreme degree of pessimism governing their psychological state. Ultimately, they are likely to commit suicide. But in my society, such type of miserable phenomena have not been observed yet; God bless!

In order to improve the  condition of the childless women who are not properly treated, public awareness has to be promoted by educating people. But the women themselves must be brave enough to fight against the superstitions prevailing for ages. Furthermore, they have to seek for suitable legal provisions to settle the problems properly.

In our society, we have not seen any childless women who are badly treated. If there are some unnoticed, they have to be alert empowering themselves to fight against the inhuman behavior.

Essay on My Hiking Experience

Hiking refers to the activity of going for long walks in the country for pleasure, knowledge and exercises. Last year, I went hiking with my friends. It was full of pleasure and knowledge. It provided us heavy physical as well as mental exercises. Since then, I have felt that hiking is really beneficial for us.

Nepal is rich in natural beauties and gifts. We can have tremendous benefits if we go hiking and observe these natural entities. Last year summer vacation was heavily advantageous for us. As we wanted to go hiking, at firs, we decided the places where to go. We decided that we were going to visit different places in Solukhumbu district, the famous region consisting of snow-capped mountain peaks including Mt. Everest.

We made a complete plan for our hike. We formed the hiking group consisting of ten members including a medical staff, an M.B.B.S. doctor. He was very eager to go with us. Then, we visited the tourism board of Nepal to collect the information of the location. We decided to go to Ziri in Dolakha by bus and from there trekking would begin. We made a complete map of the route from Ziri to different places. Then, we bought some equipment and thing required in the hike. Some of the things we bought and managed were extra clothing, firs-aid-kits with some medicines, carbohydrate snakes, sunglasses, a map of the route, a compass, carbohydrate snakes, sunglasses, a map of the route, a compass, flash lights, extra batteries, matches, knives, brimmed hats, woolen socks, jackets, some utensils required to prepare food, alight gas-stove, etc.

We hired a microbus to go to Ziri. Our journey from kathmandu began at 7 a.m early in the morning. At 2 p.m, we reached at Ziri. We sheltered at a hotel that night. Next morning, we enjouyed tea at the hotel and started to trek to our destination. As we left Ziri, we realized that God had given us many things there. The trekking route was full of natural beauties and gifts such as many water falls, rivers, various types of plants, birds and animals, and so on. We walked very slowly enjoying whatever we saw on the way. We took many photographs of those thins. We could see the beautiful snow-capped mountain peaks to the north.

After three-hour walk, we wanted to have something as we felt hungry. We chose a grassland and set our tents. Then, we set a fire near the tents and started to preparer meal. Our friends Sanjay felt dizzy and wanted to sleep. Our doctor checked him up and provided some carbohydrate snacks and medicines. After an hour, he felt fine. We didn’t light our gas stove as we saw adequate firewood there. Some of our friends started singing and dancing. Rajib played the guitar well I heard while I was preparing meal. As our meal was ready, we had it. We felt the meal was tastiest. After two hours, me moved ahead towares Salleri, the district headquarters of Solukhumbu. We visited different places such as Salleri, Phaplu, Junbesi, Gokyo, Dudhapokhari and Chaurikharka (Lukla).

We felt that our hiking to solukhumbu region was really fruitful. We have widened and depended our knowledge and experiences. I had never thought before that Solukhumbu was so beautiful. Heartily speaking it is a piece of heaven.
I have realized that a Nepali citizen has to visit Solikhumbu once in order to illuminate his/her heart.
